Hasmonean Multi-Academy Trust’s Ethos
Hasmonean’s aim is to nurture students to become happy, confident and respectful adults committed to living a life of Torah im Derech Eretz[1], ready to thrive in the wider world as proud members of klal Yisroel[2] with the Torah as their guide.
We help students to find their own personal connection with the Torah, to develop their ahavas Hashem[3] and yiras shamayim[4], to follow the Halacha[5] and to be continually inspired to explore the Torah’s rich depths. In this way they understand that living a religious Jewish life is both a privilege and an opportunity. They are also taught to respect those with different beliefs, identities and values to their own.
We aim to maximise each student’s potential within a caring, inspirational and professional environment. Students’ emotional well-being and intellectual fulfillment are at the heart of what we do. Our teachers are expected to deliver outstanding religious and secular education and a broad, enriched curriculum in which the values of chesed[6] and tzedokah[7] strongly feature.
In return, all students are expected to respect and support the school’s ethos, to try their best and to act with respect and compassion at all times.
