The Sixth Form at Hasmonean is a step up from the lower school and focuses on teaching independence for the next stages of our life - outside of the Hasmonean family. I find that the Sixth Form balances the secular and Kodesh studies, enabling everyone to benefit from both. The support from teachers makes the secular studies engaging. They are teaching and preparing us for further education and the world of work. The mentors and learning from the Midrasha instils key life lessons that will stay with me far beyond Hasmonean.

At the start of Year 12, I considered alternative options for Sixth Form. However, I made the decision to remain at Hasmonean due to the genuine achdut embodied here. I believe that it is one of the many unique and positive aspects of Hasmonean, which is why I would recommend this school to others.
The students here are wonderful to work with. They do not have any set notions about life and are attempting to understand the world around them. As a teacher, you can really help them form that understanding. My goal is to not only help students achieve top grades, but more importantly to instil in them the skills to learn and think independently.

When I joined Hasmonean Sixth Form, I found a welcoming community of students. It is a supportive and inclusive environment with dedicated teachers. There is a range of opportunities to deepen our knowledge and empower us to succeed academically and develop skills for success beyond school.
I was told early on in my career to always listen to students and always make them feel appreciated. If you feel supported, you feel valued and you have more motivation.
